What will it do for my engine?
Momentum99 contains additives which remove engine deposits and help keep your engine cleaner.
When will I notice a difference in performance?
Depending on your car, you may start to feel a difference after the first three full tanks of fuel, if not before.
Where can I get Momentum99?
Momentum99 is now available at nearly 400 stores across England, Wales and Scotland. Take a look at our Where to buy page to see if it is available near you.
What is octane?
Octane is a hydrocarbon component of petrol. Fuel is categorised according to its octane number e.g. 99 RON. A RON rating (Research Octane Number) is a measure of the fuel's resistance to premature ignition - commonly known as 'knocking' - which can result in abnormal combustion or vibration. If present, knocking can lead to inefficient running of an engine, so the higher the octane rating, the greater the resistance to engine 'knock'.
A large number of engines contain mechanisms to detect knocking and adjust timing in order to offer improved performance on higher octane fuels. The quality of a fuel also helps influence running behaviour, performance and service life of an engine, as well as prevents corrosion and keeps the fuel system clean.
What is bioethanol?
Bioethanol is a renewable component made from crops. It is very high octane while also being free of some pollutants such as sulphur and aromatics.
What are olefins?
Olefins in petrol can lead to the creation of deposits which can cause engine damage. Momentum99 is naturally low in olefins.
